Berries and Oats Breakfast Smoothie

Give your day a boost with this delicious breakfast smoothie. You'll love the satisfying feeling that the oats provide; and, you'll get a powerhouse of essential vitamins and nutrients in a single glass. 

Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup milk (more as needed)
  • 1/2 cup berries, frozen
  • 3 Tbsp honey (adjust to your preference)
  • 1/3 cup yogurt, regular or Greek style
  • 3 or 4 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients, except the ice to a blender jar. Cover and pulse until the mixture is smooth.


  2. Add the ice and blend until the smoothie is thick. If necessary, add a little more milk to bring this yummy Berries and Oats Breakfast Smoothie to the desired consistency.


  3. Garnish with a few berries and a sprinkled of rolled oats, if desired. Serve immediately.

 

 

Notes:

To make your mornings easier, freeze mixed berries in 1/2 cup portions.

Experiment with different berries for different smoothie flavors.

Rolled oats work best for smoothies, don’t substitute quick cooking oats.
